Finished in rich brown and golden tones, the vase features beautifully moulded oriental inspired panels decorated with birds, flowers, and traditional landscape motifs, all beneath its matching covered lid. SylvaC pottery was produced by Shaw and Copestake in Staffordshire England and became one of the best known British ceramic makers of the twentieth century. While widely recognised for animal figures, SylvaC also produced highly decorative vases and ornamental wares such as the Canton Range, blending British pottery craftsmanship with oriental decorative influences. This vase is in good condition and stands approximately 13 inches tall.
